Common Questions

What Chiefs, Officers, and IT Ask Before a Demo.

What Is Signal Public Safety?

The Connected Suite for fire and EMS departments: Schedule staffs the crew, WatchDesk shows the call, WatchCommand manages the incident, RX supports medics, and Reports closes the work.

Who Is Signal Built For?

Fire and EMS departments: crews and firefighters in the field, officers and command, community paramedics, instructors and training officers, and the chiefs and administrators who run the agency.

Where Is Signal in Service?

WatchDesk boards are on the wall in three departments across Muskingum and Perry counties, logging county calls since April 2026. Comms and Schedule support one department’s messaging and staffing. We will walk through the relevant products and your agency’s rollout needs together.

How Much Does Signal Cost?

We do not publish a number. Pricing depends on which products you run and how big the department is, and we set it so a volunteer or combination department can actually afford it. Contact us and we will tell you what it would cost for yours.

Do We Have to Adopt Every Product at Once?

No. Start with the pain point you have today, then connect the next piece when your department is ready. There is no forklift migration.

Where Should Our Department Start?

Start with the work you want to improve. We can walk through staffing, station awareness and command, clinical support, or reporting and shape the rollout around your department.

How Is Our Department's Data Protected?

Access is scoped by agency, role, and user. Public traffic is served over HTTPS with HSTS, sensitive data is encrypted at the application layer, privileged admin actions are audited, and Signal keeps automatic backups and tests them by restoring them. See the Trust page for details.

Does Signal Work with Our Existing CAD or Dispatch?

WatchDesk is built to surface active calls, units, and radio context for departments, and integration depends on your dispatch setup. The specifics are confirmed during onboarding โ€” bring your current CAD or dispatch arrangement to the demo.

How Do We Get Started?

Request a demo. We will walk through the products that fit your department, review your existing systems, and plan the rollout and integrations around your workflow.
